Microsoft Office & Email – Archive & Retrieval

ds32.office extends the archiving capabilities of the DataStore®32 Electronic Document Management System still further, by providing the ability to archive and retrieve Microsoft® Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint®); PDF format documents and Outlook or Lotus Notes emails, directly from the desktop application. Documents may be archived singularly on an adhoc basis, or alternatively the process can be automated to archive, for example, the entire contents of a folder.

ds32.office indexing may be completed automatically by inheriting the attributes of the document when created - profile, date, author, subject, time etc., - or alternatively additional index information may be added manually. Emails from the desktop may be automatically indexed by to/from; date; subject etc.

Whilst many enterprises back-up desk-top applications to tape, restoring that information can be extremely resource and time intensive. ds32.office enables users to immediately retrieve any archived document, irrespective of source.

For a complete integrated archival and retrieval solution, ds32.imaging has been combined with ds32.office to form OfficeStore.
